• Launch: Conversion of a product line from lead-acid batteries to LFP - initiated when cost-value monitoring suggested conversion was viable.

  • Prototype and Test (battery, BMS, pack and integration with product)

  • Field testing with customers (feedback, refine product firmware, finalize pack specification)

  • Deploy at scale into manufacturing

• Development: Product family using multiple networked packs and multiple software defined capacities

• Cost-down: With field proven reliability, small adjustments were possible to reduce cost while maintaining backwards compatibility.

Results: Efforts enabled a pay-as-you-go business model that relies on long-life batteries.
